REV. PERCY T. CASH – (1914 – 1915)
Rev. Percy T. Cash M.A. (Lond.) BSc. (London), was the acting Principal at Richmond when Rev. W. J. T. Small was away in England on furlough.
He came to Ceylon in 1906 to be the Vice Principal of Wesley College. He was an Honours Graduate in Philosophy of the London University. During one of his furloughs he got his M.A. degree also from the same University in the same subject and a Science graduate of the London University. He was a pioneer educationist in Science and Botany and Zoology (in which he held a degree), but, being very versatile, taught Geography, English Literature and Logic. He was also a lecturer in Zoology at the Ceylon Medical College. Although Richmond was unlucky to have him for a longer period, he is better known as the former Principal of Central College, Jaffna, where he served from 1922-26 and 1928-32. He passed away some years ago.
