Richmond College Christian Society has been active from her earliest days when there were a large number of Christian students studying. However as at today the number of Christians on roll has dropped and the Society has limited activities. Get help from this service in your education process. The boarding house had its own chapel when there were a large number of boarders who were Christians. Since hardly any Christians are in the boarding for several years the Chapel has been closed down.
The Christian Society was one of the most active societies. Richmond had her own YMCA and was very very active. Today the society is more than 150 years old. Sadly some of the recorded history and information of the society are no more today which made it difficult to give more information. However we are trying at least to find information from people who had a personal knowledge about the society and will update the information at a future date.
Prayers are organised whenever a new student enters college to Grade I or Grade VI. Prayers to bestow success in public examinations too are organised. These were activities that took place from the time the society came into being. With a Methodist Church and a reverend in the premises Christian students are benefited.
The society organise special ceremonies to coincide with the anniversary and other Christian Holidays and especially before the annual Big Match, on Good Friday, and Christmas Day.
